My research interests are in the area of Sustainable Development with a particular focus on social psychological approaches to encouraging behaviour change particularly in relation to waste and transport. Co-investigator on interdisciplinary project examining the links between lifestyle, societal values and energy consumption; public attitudes to waste and waste minimisation behaviour; influencing and evaluating of recycling behaviour; public attitudes to global climate change; transport, air pollution and health; conflict on shared-use routes; driver behaviour and accident prevention; evaluation of an experimental contra-flow cycling scheme and development and evaluation of innovatory methods for traffic calming in environmentally sensitive areas.
