Outdoor Education Section
For over 35 years the section has had an international reputation as one of the leading providers of outdoor and environmental education in the world, offering a range of taught postgraduate programmes as well as opportunities for doctoral research and beyond. The central focus of the section’s work is to encourage positive relationships between individuals and the environment through learning outdoors, balanced with the critical thinking skills fundamental to both academic study and professional practice. Staff are committed to a broad vision of interdisciplinary learning outdoors as the corollary to learning indoors.
