The Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry is a partnership with the University of Exeter, University of Plymouth and the NHS in Devon and Cornwall. The College is the fastest growing medical school in the UK with an impressive track record in research and teaching. Most recently, in the 2008 national Research Assessment Exercise, the School was ranked 11 out of 28 for hospital-based clinical research and 13 out of 24 for health services research.
Over the past two years the College has developed research in the Environment and Human Health as a key theme. Preparations are currently underway to establish the European Centre for Environment and Human Health on the Truro campus of the medical school.
